After Monday's day of reflection, Tuesday arrives ready to put some zing into our week. This photo is of scarlet sweet peas--my absolute favorite scented flower--I grew a couple of seasons ago.

When you come to a fork in the road, take it.
May the road rise to meet you. . .the road not taken. . .take the high road. . .all roads lead home. . .why did the skeleton cross the road? (to go to the body shop)
Today's letter for Round 4 of ABC Wednesday is R. Not one to quit
Visit Mrs Nesbitt at her delightful meme here and join in the middle-o'-the-week fun! BTW, she asks what the weather is like where we are: w-i-n-d-y and hot. You?

Possible transportation in rural Wisconsin: a Farmall Turbo model tractor. It is fuel efficient, sports a smart red paint job and can be patriotic as well as hard working. This little guy is my choice for Ruby Tuesday. See more red here. Join in the fun!

Q is for Quaking Aspen [Populus tremuloides] a deciduous tree that grows in cooler, higher elevations including my home state of Idaho. The tree shown above grows on the campus of my Alma mater, Idaho State University in Pocatello (elevation 4464 ft). Locally known as 'Quakies,' they have white bark and heart shaped leaves that 'quake' in the breeze. I think that's why I am so smitten by the many stands of white birch in Minnesota--they remind me so much of the stately and quaint Quaking Aspen.
Visit ABC Wednesday for more Q words & photos from just about everywhere.
Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow.
The shadow is what we think of it;
the tree is the real thing.
