red heart work

Taken from the motorcycle, these red farm buildings couldn't be missed as perfect compliment to the swirly blue sky yesterday. We took probably our last trip on two wheels this season as sadly the temps are lower now even when the sun is shining.

In homage to the season, this door is all decked out in autumn colors. It sits a bit ajar to let in the soft morning breezes. All muted reds make this house seem very hospitable to any passerby with a camera. See more red at Mary's meme, Ruby Tuesday.

Work of sight is done.
Now do heart work on the pictures within you.

  2. The silos are a perfect complement to the traditional red barns. Of course, the stylish and functional farm sits pretty under the vast Midwest blue skies. A pretty capture on a wonderful ride!

  9. Great Rilke quote. I love Red farms/barns. I guess I've always thought that's what a barn should look like! I can't remember any of the relatives having a red barn. Wonder where that came from? !!! Loved the photos, the sky, the red, the door ... great!

  12. We saw a lot of red farms in last June in America.
Fall is in my garden. Yesterday we closed the swimming-pool. On next week-end my husband will put a pile of pieces of wood under the porch for the fireplace.

To live in the presence of great truths and eternal laws, to be led by permanent ideals--that is what keeps a man patient when the world ignores him, and calm & unspoiled when the world praises him.
