Across from the St. Paul farmer's market this musician plays his pipes for passersby, hopefully a profitable venture. Visitors stop and talk to him between tunes and he discusses what kind of pipes he plays. I, however, hurrying by didn't hear what he said so I won't even hazard a guess to what kind they are. Therefore, I leave the mystery for you to solve.
Linking to ABC Wednesday.
What caught my eyes are the photos pasted inside the case. Could that be his family? I don't have any idea about Pied Piper but for sure I would gladly love to hear him play. And give money of course, ^_^ Happy Wednesday!

Praise the piper. It's great to spin around a busy corner downtown and catch a soft melody on the wind from a piper's horn. Immediately soothes the soul amid the din.
ReplyDeleteLovely post, Noni!
Love the sound of those things!

They look quite unusual, those pipes.
ReplyDeleteI hope he earned enough to make playing worth his while - or at least to buy coffee and cake:-)
ReplyDeletewonder if he made that instrument?
ReplyDeleteSo perfect for P! Late visiting from ABC Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteYou can find my Presidents of the United States entry through the link. Thanks!
I don't know, but I would like to think that these are Pan Pipes, as they are the most romantic pipes I know of, - even if I can't recognize them!
ReplyDeleteVery good photo for this Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteToo cold to stop now, but he does play some interesting tunes during the season. We're both regulars at the market so I'm familiar with him. Good that you photographed him!
ReplyDeleteThey look like a variation on Pan Pipes .. and he seems to be making a few dollars.. good on him!
ReplyDeletegood for him - pity you didn't have time to talk to him
