Halloween day began with snow flurries but ended with sunshine and bright blue skies. So I took a windy walk, crunching leaves, soaking up the sun I hadn't seen most of the week, and found glorious reds in the trees.

See more autumnal reds at Mary's meme,
Ruby Tuesday.
The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I'll put a trinket on.
