waning winter

A walk in the neighborhood to check on the snow melt unearthed this bridge--which I've posted photos of before--uncovered and sharing the lake's edge with new growth of bushes. Bright, blissful reds! See more at Ruby Tuesday.

  2. The red shrub is a true ruby - we think only of the foliage in red, the trunk and branches are so unique. The bridge is a nice looking weathered and bold paint, and offers a nice walk over the brook. Minnesota is such a lovely state!

  3. This is such a pretty picture. the small bridge with its fading splash of red colour. The brave, red shrubs in the background and the mellow winter grass still bent from the pressure of the snow. Still there is sort of a spring like feeling to it.

  12. The hints of ruby in the naked spring. Just beautiful.
This is the time of year I love the most. The tiny snow drops are peeking up and greenish points of daffodils to come.
Lets stay up and stay outdoors.
Time of winter sleep is over.
Your bubbling brook is singing day and night.....
