Sure is! I had a dark teal VW van back in the mid-70's. Went across coutry in it. Got stopped at the Canadian border (re-entering from Canada) and got searched. LOL Nothing to find anyway but it makes for a fun story.
My goodness, this reminds me of my youth. We grew up with a pair VW Microbus, a 1963 and 1968. The last one was a dog with only 57 horsepower. This is a camper, but our later one was a ruby maroon. Not at all a safe vehicle, they however still seem to have a road wandering chic...
Like WOW, man, that unit's far out! Throw in a futon for those Sweet Little Hitch-hikers and some curtains to keep the heat from ruinin' yer buzz, and you're all, like, Jack Kerouacin'!
