Two of my favorite summer colors: yellow and blue. This buttery yellow rose bush is reminiscent of those on Birch Street in my neighborhood growing up and a new find below, a midnight blue
Salvia. Finding a blue annual to plant
always makes me smile.

Yellow roses are my favorite.
Very pretty Noni.
I like the roses as well, wonderful photos!
Blue salvias are gorgeous, aren't they?! I thought about buying one this weekend, but I don't have a good spot for it.
My friend and I have been looking for blue flowers. Now I have another one to find!
Yellow roses are beautiful. This could also fit for the mellow yellow photo theme. :-)
Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing and thank you for visiting my blog, your comment was appreciated.
Nifty photo series today ... love the yellow roses. Methinks I may need to seek out one for MY garden ... perhaps a bit paler in color. Thanks for dropping by Happily Retired Gal today.
I like "Peacock Blue" as a name for a blog. Are you a jazz fan? I saw your Duke Ellington quote on blues.
Those are two complimentary plants you've got there. I planted a few blue salvias this year. They're tiny right now.
I just saw your Balzac quote now! Excellent.
Your salvia is a little different to ours in Australia!
Good to have you visit to my flowers from my temporary NY abode...!
