'At sunrise everything is luminous but not clear.'

On an early morning last November we watched the sun come up over one of the many lakes in the Minnesota Boundary Waters area

and the sky turn into this:

See more wonderful, hopeful skies at Skywatch Friday. [quote by Norman Maclean from A River Runs Through It]

Both are beautiful! That strip of pink blush is gorgeous in your first shot; and a nice reflection in the second.

These are beautiful captures of a gorgeous place. Haven't been to the Boundary waters in 30 years. Thanks for the memories.

It's beautiful to watch how nature unfold in front of us. A privilege I should say. Happy weekend!

It must have been misty just before this; that air of mystery still prevails.

Beautiful!

I have recently started having a fascination with the sky... all the moods, the architecture of the clouds, the colors.. the light.

One day, I hope to integrate my new found fascination in my paintings.
