We carry within us the wonders
we seek without us. Thomas Browne

Since winter continues to slog along, my attempts to show the sky up here have been feeble at best. Last week I took these views of the eastern sky from the Mississippi River walk in north Minneapolis as the sun was struggling to move into view. The clouds were so soft I wanted to reach up and touch them.
Visit SkyWatch Friday where the sky's the limit.

Such lovely, peaceful skies/clouds and soft colors! Beautiful! Great words to match as well! Hope you have a wonderful weekend -- maybe just a tiny glimpse of spring??? I wish that for all of us!

It looks soft and comfortable, a pillow to rest your head on.

Sometimes winter drags a little, but at least gentle skies are part of the move to spring. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

Oh, I love a good river walk. We have a nice one along the Rio Grande here in southern New Mexico. The river is practically non-existent this time of year but pretty soon will be full again. It's a great place for walking and biking. Love your soft clouds.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words, too.

These are lovely, subtly intriguing shots. They remind me a little of aurorae--which you lot up in the north ought to be seeing on clear nights, with all the solar activity going on. Maybe you can catch one to show off to us who may never get to see such wonders. Thanks for visiting the Cabinet, too.

Subtle color, but beautiful skies up your way! We had a lot of those skies this winter, the last few weeks have had some great blue skies.

After your comment on my blog I had to come here and check out your grey skies. Grey, yes, but with subtle rose tints. Just like you at this tired end of winter, I'm looking for the beauty in the grey.
I've enjoyed my glimpse of your part of the world - I'll return.

Lovely soft outlook, though I know it is frustrating when you are waiting for some colour in the sky!

These are beautiful photos. I see you still have a lot of snow. I hope it melts soon so you can enjoy Spring ;-) I love your header too as pansies are one of my favourite and simple flowers.
