from summer hats to woolen mittens

My aim is to put down on paper what I see and  what I feel in the                            best and simplest way.   Ernest Hemingway
Behold the autumn version of the pink Coneflowers the little Goldfinches and Chickadees feasted on all summer, now with a light dusting of our first real frost. I'm adding these to the bouquet of Today's Flowers here.

Yes, the deed is done and for the moment (but only for the moment), the new season feels good and welcome. Lovely post, Noni.

we haven't yet had our first frost here, and that's amazing. my tomato vines are still green and clinging, but I suspect that once this low moves off and the skies clear, it's going to be a frosty morning come the weekend. your photos are beautiful. happy day to you Noni.

That is a real frost. You caught the contrast so well.
If I had more time for blogging, your blog is what I wish mine would look like. Just beautiful.
