JUST BEFORE THE DEATH OF FLOWERS,
AND BEFORE THEY ARE BURIED IN SNOW,
THERE COMES A FESTIVE SEASON WHEN
NATURE IS ALL AGLOW. anon

We've been away in spurts in September [Philadelphia to see Dr. Erica], October [Arkansas and points north] and when we went south the trees at home were still wearing some autumn leaves. I took these on our return to our neighborhood and Owasso Lake. I could stand and watch these golden leaves drop silently right before my eyes. On the way home I saw our neighborhood's elusive little white squirrel who unfortunately doesn't need to wear a bulls eye for the local hungry hawks.

Whitie can be seen linked to Misty Dawn's Camera Critters this week.

Beautiful color. It is still green here and I don't have a white squirrel! I think I'm jealous! I do have a white Asian Banded Dove ... and I mean WHITE! ox

Wow, I've seen black squirrels, gray squirrels, red squirrels - but never, ever a white squirrel! How special! I love Martha Z's observation that s/he will be the safe squirrel come snowfall!

By the way, your recent comment on my blog really made my day!! :-) I need to catch up on replying to comments, I've gotten out of the habit while I've been so busy...

Happy Halloween, Noni!
