Taking Georgia O'Keefe's advice, I looked deep inside this poppy and found the most beautiful shade of purple! And to think this little 'crepe paper 'beauty was in a flower bed at a rest area on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. I'm sure there's a message in there somewhere. . . see more here.

What a lovely photo. I am finally done with my year of National Board Certification so I have time to again visit blogs. I have read yours many times from afar, but look forward to returning again more regularly.

'Crepe paper beauty' describes the poppy so well. This is a beauty but the ones that really lift my heart are the common field poppies, making a resurgence now that farmers are more aware of the importance of a balanced ecosystem.

I would like to think that Georgia O'Keefe would have enjoyed this post very much.
