. . .with a cherry on top

On the 4th of July I took a stroll through my neighborhood before the humidity became unbearable and on my way home I saw this tree in a neighbor's front yard fairly exploding with cherries. They were perfect, totally suitable for a magazine spread. More importantly, how have they managed to keep the deer away?!

Friends with a house in rural CT hang bars of Irish Spring soap from the flowering shrubs ... apparently deer do not like the fresh minty smell

These cherries are absolutely stunning! Perfect in appearance, no doubt tart with a sweet aftertaste, the are a treat for mammals of all varieties. The humans are preferred, though

Noni, I like a lot this beautiful image of the cherries!
It's very hot here as well: 40° C "perceived temperature", because of the great humidity.
Happy Wednesday :-)
