I just came back from a weekend in Philadelphia celebrating Dr. Erica's 30
th birthday. Among the festivities was a visit to the
Philadelphia Art Museum where I found two totally opposite spots for the color red. Below is a bumper sticker on the back of a Land Cruiser in the parking lot with words I live by daily.
We had gone to see the Marc Chagall exhibit called
Paris Through The Window: Marc Chagall and His Circle. On the way out, there hung one of Vincent van
Gogh's many sunflowers. My heart always skips a beat when I see his brush-stroke signature, also in red. More
red @
Ruby Tuesday.
Paintings have a life of their own that derives from the painter's soul.

We all like to se art in places besides a white wall illumined by track lighting. Why not on the road? This Toyota shows its arty side while avoiding the snooty character is some galleries. It passes us in the left lane, so we smile...art should be approachable!
The soft Van Gogh is lovely in its light pastels. Alas, a real one will never grace our walls - but the subject is beautiful, so a framed poster print will do!
I like very much both Marc Chagall's and Vincent van Gogh's painting!
Happy Tuesday!
Oh, Lucky you to see the Chagall exhibit! When it was at the San Francisco Art Museum, Otto and I went more than once.
The Land Cruiser owner was poet, as well as pleasing with the splash of color.
XOXO
