three's a crowd

or a reason to party! Spring unfolding is such a wonderful experience for the observer--I'm guessing it is much more work for the unfoldee.

Love the formation of the first photo. The second second is just goregeous when it opens, so beautiful it's nice to pick one and put on my vase.
