The skies in Minnesota this week ran in extremes. These are four examples of what I mean. Thats factoring in a record breaking 103 degrees on Tuesday and 69 degrees today just for variety. Look up here.
did you get storms last evening? they rolled through here around 9:30 p.m. and brought refreshingly cooler air. it had been 97 for three previous days, with that awful humidity. I just checked the thermometer on my laptop and it reads 48 degrees. I don't mind it but the tomato plants do. it means good sleeping tonight. your skies are gorgeous Noni. have a great weekend. stay warm. or cool, things could change rapidly!
I know what you mean about the extremely hot weather - we had it too, early in the week, but now it has settled down to summer temperatures. We had some thunder and lightning, but not much rain. I love the clouds you have posted, with their delicate hues!!
Lovely skies in your photos. It's easier to appreciate them inside the house with air conditioning that out in with the beating sun. 103 is hot anywhere, but in Minnesota it must have been a real shock to the system!

fun collection of photos to mark the progress of the week, and the sky as a constantly changing show
I just saw on the news that you had 103 ~~ Oh my...wasn't it just a few months ago you were freezing with snow storms....??
Really nice shots.
the edges of light around the clouds are magnificent!
Wow from 3 digits to 2 digits what a dive. No wonder people got sick easily our weather is unpredictable. The photos are gorgeous!

Wonderful to look up in your skies! Great shots for the SWF:-)
Beautiful skies, and a temperature range like we have here in the desert!
Very pretty clouds and colors. Great skywatch photos.
What amazing swings in temperature. The skies are different but each has a magical light emanating through the scene.
Great shots, my favourite is the second one.
Happy weekend!
The last photo, the gloomy one, looks as though it could have been shot on a 69-degree day!
RED SKY IN MORNING
Red sky in morning,
Sailors take warning!
Who knows what might happen out on the sea?
Waves riding high,
Waves to the sky,
Waves crashing and dashing all over me!
Red sky at night,
Sailors delight!
Leeward or windward we sail with no fear;
Water is calm,
Healing like balm—
Ahoy, fellow sailors, landfall is near!

Those are beautiful skies - great shots. We rarely even get to 90 degrees at my house.
All interesting skies, but the one with the beautiful clouds with pink highlights is outstanding. Lovely photo. Mickie ;)

The weather sure has been crazy this year! But 103° is way too hot for this early in June.
Oh, so gorgeous!
