Three more days of cold

Is how the local legend goes when you see three sundogs at once. I had never seen sundogs until I moved to Minnesota but couldn't believe what a beautiful show three at one time can be. I took this from an empty grocery store parking lot on Tuesday morning when it was -9 [or -14 with the wind chill.] What a nice beginning to 2011!To see more awe-inspiring skies from all over the planet, visit Skywatch Friday.
Happy New Year too!

What a fabulous photo. I've never seen anything quite like that. It's wonderful.
Almost 30 years ago I got a couple of pictures of a complete ring around the sun, but I have no idea where those pictures are today.
Thanks for sharing this with all of us.

Cool you have a full halo with the sundogs, I posted some too on my blog although I didn't see a full halo though. Thanks for sharing, excellent and your right they do fore-shadow cold weather.
