ABC Wednesday's letter du jour,
F. Above is a photo of now Dr. Erica on a vacation in Maine when she was in third grade. Already a budding scientist, she was amazed & a bit nonplussed, at finding this little guy in our hosts' front yard.
Fast forward to the present when Dave and I were visiting our favorite pie spot, the
Norske Nook in Wisconsin, where we were momentarily distracted from our rhubarb pie to watch this intrepid frog scale the window with its two beady eyes on the hanging geraniums above.

Where do the frogs go in the winter? I can imagine little frog igloos. :) Nice F pick for ABC Wednesday.
there's something about frogs I just love. their sounds and the way they look. this one on the window may look a bit undignified but they really don't care about that sort of thing. great capture. and Norske Nook? I used to frequent the Osseo locale quite a lot when I was driving from my home in St. Croix Falls to visit my mom in Illinois. it was my pit stop. great pie!!!

I am really Fond of Frogs, - have one sitting on my printer - a really sweet little fellow. Doesn't climb anywhere though.....
Where I grew up (upstate NY), there was a saying, "Peepers (frogs) will freeze 3 times and then spring will be officially here." So far this year, they have frozen once down here (Kentucky).
