windows: the daydreamer's tools of the trade

examples of sublime windows in Chicago and D.C.
looking out the window at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Walnut Grove, Minnesota

So they all went away from the little log house. The shutters were over the windows, so the little house could not see them go. It stayed there inside the log fence, behind the two big oak trees that in the summertime had made green roofs for Mary and Laura to play under.

Windows is a perfect choice for the theme today. I particularly like the R. Dahl quote!

A great post and choice of W words, - we caught a few minutes of Laura Ingalls on the TV this afternoon, - my daughter watches all the re-runs.

Lovely windows looking out on the world.

Wonderful post! Love the part from the book - have read them all and watched all the shows, beginning in 1973. How do I know that? It was the year I got married and my husband used to tear up at the end of every show and say, "I hate this show! Why do we watch it?" lol

btw, be sure to try to take in Fort Garry while you're in Winnipeg!

I love windows. Especially my my kitchen windows which have lace curtains, and I love the patterns the sun makes coming through.

Hope you have a marvelous motorcycle trip.. We are in Las Vegas right now to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary ~ Seeing the production of The Lion King tonight.
