made you look!

Just last night a ferocious storm was brewing across the Prairie. Could be a little early for a tornado, but I think I was lucky to catch this view.

A P R I L F O O L S D A Y !
Spring may be creeping back to Minnesota but this photo from 2008 reminded me of what could happen come May when the season of tornadoes is upon us. Or not. I still would rather think about tornadoes some other time because, thanks to El Niño, we are enjoying glorious weather, the birds are all back from their winter vacations, noise and industry fills the lakes and skies--which are soft and blue.
Visit Skywatch Friday for many more skies--fact or fiction.

Fabulous picture! I'm sure tornadoes are very exciting to watch but I don't think I'd enjoy being too close to one. Glad to hear your weather is fine and warm and the skies and trees are full of busy birds :-)

Happy April Fool's Day to you, too.

I am visiting our old home on the prairie in eastern New Mexico for a couple of weeks. Yesterday the tornado siren went off for its usual Wednesday 4 PM test, but it gave me the shivers, thinking of the possibilities. Just before we moved here, a tornado hit (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17762982/) and I hope to never experience one!

Splendid and dramatic sky, - what a shame the beauty portends disaster sometimes.

Wonderful capture! Beautiful, yet still ominous. I do love watching a good storm.

Spring does come in fits & starts. Love your CB quote about Zambonis--I have friend who is the Royal Keeper of the Ice at a big public rink here, and he is totally obsessive about driving the thing.
