SkyWatch Minnesota

I took this photo from the car window on a trip to southwestern Minnesota farmland. This is near Walnut Grove--of Little House on the Prairie fame--and very typical of the large sky and flat landscape where farmers grow feed corn, soy beans and alfalfa. Storms followed us all day and sent menacing clouds like these to tempt us to turn back.
For my views of the wide blue yonder for Skywatch, or to join in the fun, go to Wigger's World and ask for Tom.

Lovely place and it's good you told that this is the place where the series of The Little House on the Prairie was shot. I love that series!
Have a nice weekend!

Threatening, stormy skies often provide excellent shots, and you have one here.

Unfortunately Tom is on bed rest today and for the first time you are stuck with me. I have my orders to visit as many as I can, and make sure the links are working and everyone is being good. I am sure you are all being good.
Tom and I thank you for Sky-Watching this week. I am sure that as soon as Tom's heart beat settles down he will be back here and visiting.

Is is true that they only have two seasons in Minnesota: snow and road repair?

Is it true that because of all the Norwegians in Minnesota that the Taco Bells sell lutefisk burritos?

On a different subject, "Louis" et Mme. la Vache celebrate their premier anniversaire today.

How come I missed you yesterday???
Sorry!
Love the sky - reminds me of many a storm I've seen roll over the prairies whilst out in Saskatchewan.

Whilst traveling through the plains on occasions, the flat landscape reaching out so far, the big sky but oh, those massive clouds, they always felt so low, riding on your shoulders.
Beautiful photo.
