I just couldn't wait to share these photos! Dave told me he had seen a doe and her twin fawns cross in front of his motorcycle on the way to work one morning. They were headed into the wooded area where I walk and today I practically stepped on one of the fawns--still with spots, no less. I know that some folks have deer visitors who can be a nuisance but I have never been lucky enough to see them up close so this absolutely made my day!

I know how you feel! We have had the miracle of twin fawns born in our backyard. Deer are always welcome here! Your photos are lovely!
XOXO Phyllis
What a Beauty!
I'm thrilled for you - would have loved to have seen the fawns.
I'm usually so paranoid about deer jumping in front of the car, I don't appreciate them often for their natural beauty. This is a nice reminder.
I'm back again...
This time to say I've passed on a blogland Award to you.

Beautiful. I always love seeing deer, too.
We see deer around here and it always thrills me. Your pictures are pretty.
This would have made my day as well.. we see then rarely in these parts.
A sighting like that would have had me floating on a pink cloud of happiness for a week. What a dream.
We, ahem, see a few too many deer around here, and we have been known to issue untoward threats as tribes of 70 or more have rampaged through various carefully tended plantings. But even hardened souls that we are, we still go all soft and gooey at the sight of a doe leading her fawns through the meadow. Those moments you caught -- they really are miracles.
Wonderful! How I'd love to have seen this!
