August is sneaking away and it is another Monday already. For Today's Flowers I offer a slightly cut-off photo of a lily I took along my walk near Lake Owasso. These border the street for several feet and I always enjoy their unique color, but especially the way the sun streams through that cream colored center.

I am a big daylily fan! This is a pretty one. I like the cream centre too. I have one that is opposite in colour - they would look pretty together I think!

Summer is truly "blissful" with all the lovely flowers around us. Beautiful photo of a beautiful lily and a wonderful description of its lovely features!! I wouldn't mind taking a walk down that street just to see the lilies. Great quote from William Carlos Williams - he's a favorite of mine.
