Blushing peach Hollyhocks taken in St. Paul in the old Summit Avenue neighborhood one fine August day. See more unique flower photos from other photographers at Today's Flowers, hosted by Luiz. You'll be glad you did!
I like hollyhocks and have planted quite a few around the cottage this summer. They are such a nice old-fashioned flower and I am happy that more people are planting them. This one is a beautiful colour isn't it? When I was a little girl we would make ladies from them to float in a flower bowl - perhaps I will post one next week.
I am FINALLY feeling more human. I intend to see a specialist as this isn't the first time (only the WORST TIME) I've suffered with sinuses.
Love your blog--I too shall return as a)I love your name(I went to Italy 2 years ago and LOVED it) and b)Your songlist includes Nick Cave/Warren Ellis. I'm going to see Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in Toronto this October (again) and can't wait!!! I'm sure I'll be blogging about that.

Noni: I've seen these around but never knew the name, they are a big flower.
Very pretty! I'm going to try growing some next year.
I love hollyhocks but have never been successful in growing them. These are a beautiful color.
Beautiful flower, like the photo.
Here in Brazil, in August is beginning to heat, and some flowers begin to emerge.
It looks like the okra's flower, but of course this one's much more beautiful.
It's my first time to join Today's Flowers, and you can see my post here. Hope you can drop by if you have some time. Thanks!
