Weather forecast for tonight: dark. Continued dark overnight, with widely scattered light by morning.

My choice for SkyWatch Friday is the scene from my front door after a summer storm in August June, late evening just before sundown. The sky seemed to hold a beautiful promise for the coming day.
See more photos at SkyWatch Friday, here. You will want to join in the fun.

That's a beautiful view. Thanks for the Carlin quote to lighten things up (ahem!)!
It is quite beautiful. It looks like a storm has just cleaned the sky.
My photo is at Canon Pixels
Wonderful picture!
The picture is gorgeous.
The Carlin quote is priceless.
Sky notice Hope arriving.
Beautiful shot.
I like this before I enlarged it, but I swear I almost felt like I was there when I enlarged it.
Beautiful SWF photo! I almost used the George Carlin quote for mine this time!
Great capture. Happy SWF!
Very lovely....with the feathery tree branch silhouettes! And, yes the Carlin forecast adds just the right touch!
The view is a beauty... and I have to say the quote made me giggle so thanks for the laughter.. :O)
Great Sky Watch post.. most enjoyable visit.
What a great view to have right outside your front door. All I see is the house across the narrow street... okay and maybe some sky above it. :-)
A nice picture. Did the storm thin out the leaves - the trees look quite bare.
The calm before the stoem is so deceptive. It looks so serene.
I hope the promise was fullfilled.
It's a lovely sky.
Great how a storm clears the air.
Nice shot.
Lovely soft glows in this pic! They seem to reach out from the surrounding darness!
Wonderful shot!
Nice shot...
And thanks for the George Carlin quote -- I needed that...
That has always been one of my fav Carlin quotes and this photo is perfect!
