Surely its a sunny day, somewhere

Got sunshine? Mid-January and one hand splinted I am craving green, but not just any green will do. I'm missing the tender green of spring. I took these photos near the end of summer along a shady wooded area where I love to walk because the sun was *beaming* in on these ferns who were perfectly content to prosper without much Vitamin D. . .perhaps there's a message for me there. . .
This is my offering for Today's Flowers, a virtual flower shop meme with photos of beauty from all over the world. Visit Luiz and Denise today, and remember:

I am delighted when there is a warm day in the winter, and you see those obstinate little dandelions just daring to sprout! Right now, they are all under 2 feet of snow!

Ah yes, I start craving positively tropical colors right about now -- as if I were vacationing in Hawaii. Your fern photos are lovely, and soothing!

These look like a scenes from my Mendocino county redwoods and our retreat that we haven't visited in too long. I homesick for Bom Retiro.

I hope your hand is healing well.

XOXO, Phyllis

I miss the sight of green, but also the smell. Spring will return again...I keep repeating that as I shovel another pile of snow.

It's nice to see green, if only on a blog. It's just white, white, white here.
