What's a mother to do?

As we hunker down for a 11-17 inch snowstorm I thought it might lighten the forecast by remembering a kinder and warmer time last summer, when a mother duck tried to send her ducklings on the straight and narrow. Metaphors, all.

It's so hard to get those little ducklings to follow the right path :-) But how nice to think about warmer/nicer weather for a bit -- I can't wait for spring!

I believe you're getting the brunt of this latest storm - we are forecast for a mix of sleet, snow, ice, rain. who knows, it's only going to last a short time anyway! hope springs eternal and all that! lovely summer shot, thanks for sharing, I really needed this!
have a lovely day!

Oh, no, not another storm for you! We've had very little precipitation (way less than an inch) all winter here in southern New Mexico, but had a devastating long freeze that killed huge cacti that had been growing happily for many years. So sad to see all the dead plants.

Every winter just seems to get harder. I don't think that's my age talking, either...
