small stones buzzing
I am reminded of the tireless industry of insects, birds and animals during the dog days of summer. The yellow Common Mullein blooming now always seems to have some insect buzzing around or a bird resting on top. 
Again this season bees are struggling with more viruses causing major colony collapse across North America. I overheard two beekeepers at the local farmers market saying that many beekeepers are 'sharing' bees from each other's hives, trying to keep the hives balanced. So, I was happy to photograph this bee and wishes it well on its journey back to the hive..

I had a comment in mind and then I read Sandy's comment and I changed my mind about writing it. she said it so well - there's nothing to add really. but one thing I realized from this buzzing stone of yours today. there are some yellow flowers I like, mullein being one of them. one summer I walked the railroad tracks that went through town, looking to collect the flowers for making a medicinal oil. mullein flower oil is an amazing earache remedy. it's a fond memory I have of that day.
I guess my brain buzzed a little bit like a bee, recalling that. thanks Noni.

It's such a worry that the bees are suffering viruses and whole colonies are dying. If we lose the bees we lose life.
Bees and bats are suffering. It's very troubling. We have enough stink bugs, though.

It's so sad that bee colonies are still struggling! When will humans wake up?
Beautiful photos! I was at a garden this weekend where scattered throughout there were several bee-houses made especially to encourage the bees. There were plenty of them around I am happy to say.
